Maitake Products, Inc. (MPI), E. Rutherford, NJ, announced that it has launched a new product named "Breast•Mate®" with Meshima mushroom extract and other ingredients to specifically target the support of women's health.  This product has been developed by MPI in collaboration with Dr. Daniel Sliva, Ph.D. of Indiana University and the Cancer Research Laboratory of Methodist Research Institute in Indianapolis.

Dr. Sliva is known as one of the most prominent researchers of medicinal mushrooms in this country and has been heavily involved with studies on Reishi and Maitake mushrooms for the last ten years.)";letter-spacing:-.3pt'>Recently, he found that an extract of a new mushroom called Meshima in Japan, literally meaning Women's Island (phellinus linteus), has shown the strongest activities to suppress invasive behaviors of abnormal breast cells among several mushroom extracts he examined in the study. This study was presented by Dr. Sliva at the 8th International Conference of Anticancer Research, held in Kos, Greece, and also published in the British Journal of Cancer late 2008.

Breast•Mate® is specifically designed to support healthy breast cells as its popular sister product, Prost•Mate®, is to support healthy prostate cells.  It contains the same Meshima extract that was prepared by MPI and used in the above Dr. Sliva's study (PL-fraction™), combined with other synergistic ingredients such as Maitake SX-Fraction®, Broccoli extract, Green Tea extract, Vitamin D3 and Folic Acid.
